About
Visual Design Journey is an independent archive and publication about graphic design history and visual culture.
Design history is not a sequence of styles. It is a record of how people organize ideas.
We document the systems, objects, images and people that changed how the world communicates. Every entry connects an artifact to the social and technological conditions that produced it.
The archive is built for students, designers, researchers and anyone who wants to understand why visual culture looks the way it does. Reading is free; an optional membership supports the work and unlocks members-only essays.
